In 1989 as my business grew (and had to turn away potential clients) I decided to find experienced entertainers that impressed me, and whose personality I found to be outgoing and friendly, their music knowledge wide and varied, their speaking voices clear and articulate (among other desirable characteristics I thought made for a great Dj) and ask them if they would like to be represented by my company. If they did want to be represented by Grapevine Productions, then we would sit down and talk about my companies philosophy and what the client will expect from Grapevine. This creates a dependable consistency among our Djs. Things like: music libraries, consultations with clients, dress attire, interaction with guests and rates charged are all made to be very consistent. Djs are encouraged to continue developing their own personal style when it comes to entertaining, and I try to match that style with the right client. I know that when you work with any of these entertainers, you will be as impressed with them as I am.
